Investors debate Krishca Strapping mill timeline as stock drops

Week ahead
Indian equity markets enter the week on a cautious footing after the Nifty 50 and Sensex extended their losing streaks to five consecutive weeks, with domestic exchanges closed on Monday, September 14, 2026, on account of Ganesh Chaturthi. Regular trading resumes on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, kicking off a busy domestic slate that includes the scheduled release of August 2026 Consumer Price Index and Wholesale Price Index inflation data, alongside weekly options expirations for the Nifty 50 on Tuesday and the Sensex on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Meanwhile, elevated Brent crude oil prices moving near the $105 per barrel mark amid geopolitical tensions remain a major focal point, while global attention turns to the US Federal Open Market Committee's interest rate decision, statement, and dot plot scheduled for release on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The Reserve Bank of India has decided to sell Rs 1,00,000 crore of bonds maturing between 2029 and 2032 from its own portfolio. This targeted bond sale is designed to drain Rs 1,00,000 crore of liquidity from the banking system while simultaneously allowing commercial banks to build up their investment positions in these 2029 bonds, which are currently trading at yields of over 6.33 percent. Highlighting this development, Capitalmind founder Deepak Shenoy points out that the move serves a dual purpose of tightening system liquidity and offering banks an attractive yield opportunity in the specified medium-term maturity basket.

What the wider market is buzzing about
Krishca Strapp.
157Past year 28%M.cap ₹267 Cr
Investors are actively discussing Krishca Strapping, a company with a market cap of about 267 crore, after its stock fell 27.76 percent over the past year. The discussion centers on the timeline of its new Cold Rolling Mill, a facility approved under the PLI scheme for manufacturing Ultra-Thin Precision Gauge Stainless Steel. While previous plans scheduled commercial production by the end of May 2026, the FY26 AR states this plant will go live in September 2027, even as management elsewhere focuses on operationalising new capacities in FY27. Investors suspect a clerical error and hope to ask about this during the AGM.
