Honda is reportedly considering a major strategic shift in its Indian operations by potentially outsourcing its vehicle engines to Horse Powertrain rather than developing them entirely in-house. Sourcing third-party engines would represent a historic first for the Japanese automaker in the domestic market, where its engineering reputation has traditionally been anchored in proprietary powertrains. As highlighted by investor Aditya Kondawar, the rationale behind this move is to aggressively combat rising development costs and achieve faster regulatory compliance. Ultimately, this structural change signals that Honda is willing to rewrite its global manufacturing playbook to remain price-competitive against aggressive local OEMs.

Vardhman Special Steels Limited
₹412Past year ▲ 47%M.cap ₹3,938 Cr
Investors are actively discussing Vardhman Special Steels Limited, a company with a market cap of about 3,938 crore whose stock has risen 46.66 percent over the past year. Market conversations are focusing on its executive summary, market position, and its ten year vision to become a supermarket of special steel. Although this business has existed for over 50 years, it was demerged from Vardhman Textiles in 2010 to become a standalone listed entity. While it was considered just an okayish business at demerger, its first annual report post listing highlighted a strategic shift toward low volume critical applications.
