About
The oldest sovereign wealth fund in the world, tracing its roots to the Kuwait Investment Board formed in 1953 and established in its present form in 1982 as an autonomous body managing the state's reserves. It runs two pools, the General Reserve Fund and the Future Generations Fund, and invests across public equities, fixed income, real estate and private markets worldwide. Its Indian equity positions are held through numbered sub funds and are typically long horizon rather than traded.
