SBI Life Insurance bought 4.2 lakh shares of Gland Pharma for ₹118.72 Cr at ₹2826.60 apiece in a block deal.

Established in Hyderabad in 1978, the company operates on a business-to-business model and serves customers in over 60 countries worldwide. Known for its expertise in complex injectable formulations, it maintains a strong presence across the value chain. Gland Pharma is promoted by Shanghai Fosun Pharma, a global pharmaceutical major.

Joint venture between State Bank of India and BNP Paribas Cardif. Manages over Rs 4.7 lakh crore in total AUM with the flagship SBI Life Equity Fund alone holding over Rs 77,000 crore. One of India's largest private life insurers by AUM, with a multi-cap equity book deployed across ULIP and participating funds.
