HSBC Mutual Fund bought 21,91,700 shares of Genus Power Infrastructures Limited for ₹71.12 Cr at ₹324.50 apiece in a block deal.

A manufacturer of electrical metering equipment and metering solutions, Genus Power serves utility and infrastructure sectors across India. The company's core business division undertakes engineering, construction, and contracting services on a turnkey basis for power distribution and measurement systems. Incorporated in 1992 and part of the Kailash Group, it also pursues strategic investments aligned with its infrastructure operations and sector expertise.

Indian arm of HSBC Asset Management, the investment arm of HSBC Group with over USD 600 billion in global AUM. Manages over Rs 1 lakh crore in India across equity, debt and hybrid schemes. Previously known for integration of L&T Mutual Fund schemes after acquiring it from L&T Finance in 2022, which significantly expanded the franchise.
