Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance bought 29,14,319 shares of ITC Limited for ₹75.00 Cr at ₹257.35 apiece in a block deal.
India's largest cigarette manufacturer, ITC operates across four major business segments including FMCG cigarettes, other consumer goods, paperboards and packaging, and agribusiness. Established in 1910, the company has built a diversified portfolio spanning tobacco products, food and personal care items, paper manufacturing, and agricultural inputs. Its vertically integrated approach across consumer, industrial, and agricultural sectors distinguishes it within India's business landscape.
Now wholly owned by Bajaj Finserv after the Bajaj Group bought out Allianz SE's 26% stake in March 2025 for Rs 24,180 crore. Total AUM over Rs 1.2 lakh crore. Flagship Pure Stock Fund manages over Rs 7,200 crore as a Shariah-compliant Indian equity book. Active investor across large and midcap names through ULIP and group fund vehicles.
